Man holding human head stabs store clerk; mother found dead

Police arrived at the Harvest Market Thriftway in Estacada at around 2:15pm on Sunday (May 14).

A man accused of killing his mother and stabbing an Estacada grocery store employee on Mother's Day was booked into jail Monday afternoon, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Deputies said he killed his mother, 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb.

Responding deputies, Oregon State Police and Molalla police said a woman's body was found at the scene. Police later identified him as 36-year-old Joshua Webb.

Deputies have identified the murder suspect accused of killing his mother, carrying her severed head into an OR grocery store and then stabbing an employee.

A woman was later found dead in a case that authorities said was connected to the stabbing at the store, OregonLive.com reported.

The suspect was taken to a hospital after being brought into custody, according to Sandy police and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Once inside, he stabbed a store employee, who was flown to a hospital, according to Sandy Police.

Other staff reportedly held the knifeman down until police arrived.

The father of a man suspected of killing his mother and then carrying a severed head into an OR grocery store and stabbing a checkout clerk says his son "seemed normal". They also said the incident is tied to a woman's death at a home in Colton.

Roberts says the suspect told someone at the market before the stabbing that he was thirsty.

The victim and the suspect were both taken to a hospital. The suspect and victims were not immediately identified.

At the time, Webb along with carrying his mother's severed head was also observed carrying a large kitchen knife.
