Seahawks' RB Eddie Lacy hits second weight clause marker

The 27-year-old running back earned $55,000 on Monday for weighing in less than 250 pounds - the second in a series of seven fitness goals created to get him ready for the 2017 National Football League season, ESPN reported. His weight goal in May was 255 pounds, and he earned the first $55,000 bonus by weighing 253 pounds on May 15. The Seahawks signed Lacy to a one-year contract worth $2.865 million guaranteed and he can earn up to $2.685 million through various incentives, which also include his weight clause.

Lacy's next weigh-in for dollars - they should really televise this - will come in August.

The June maximum was 250 pounds for Lacy to earn the second bonus. He weighed as much as 267 pounds this offseason while recovering from ankle surgery, Pro Football Talk reported.

Asked what kinds of foods he has cut out to shed weight, Lacy said, "What kinds of things?"

Lacy recently posted this little clip of himself doing his P90X workout.

Let's be honest here, one order of General Tso's chicken could've put Lacy over the 250 mark and cost him $55,000. His weight has always carried a odd fascination with fans and media ever since Lacy admitted at the National Football League scouting combine coming out of Alabama that he was a "pound or three" too heavy in school.
