Ronaldo summoned to court, Mourinho accused of tax fraud

Ronaldo - on duty for Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation which ends on July 2 - is facing four charges of fraud through offshore companies between 2011 and 2014.

Mourinho was Real Madrid coach from 2010-13.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been summoned by the Spanish authorities as part of the investigation into his tax affairs.

Ronaldo, 32, appears to be heading for the Los Blancos exit this summer following a high-profile tax dispute, and Man United have been strongly linked with their former superstar.

He also confirmed that Ronaldo´s contract was ring-fenced by a one billion euro release clause. What happened with the tax authorities was after the game.

"No one has sent us an offer for either Cristiano or anyone else", Perez told Onda Cero radio station.

"I have not spoken with him".

Manchester united have been dire in front of goal in recent seasons, in fact, in the 2015/2016 season, the team scored a total of 49 goals in the league, while Ronaldo scored 48 league goals in the previous season for Real Madrid.

According to Spanish daily AS, Ronaldo was pleased with what the Real president had to say - even though he expected to hear it a little earlier.

Ronaldo is now at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation with Portugal, and would not begin his summer break until July 3 if his side reaches the final.

"But something really weird would have to happen if he were to leave this club".

Ronaldo is believed to be furious in the wake of tax fraud allegations which claimed he owed £13million.

Prosecutors claim that the 54-year-old manager failed to declare income of €1.6 million in 2011 and €1.7 million in 2012, "with the aim of obtaining illicit profits".

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are also reported to be interested but Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge denied the German champions would make an offer. He has won three Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles and two Copa del Reys in his eight years in the Spanish capital.
