Donald Trump Reportedly Thinks That Jared Kushner Is Giving Him Bad Advice

Mueller's investigators have expressed interest in Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and a White House senior adviser, as part of its probe into Russian meddling, including potential obstruction of justice in Comey's firing, sources familiar with the matter said.

The Russia investigation is such a party matter, and this means that any former government official who participated in deliberations or a decision about the Russia investigation-for example the White House decision to fire FBI Director James Comey because of the Russia investigation-may not represent back to the government on behalf of anyone else with intent to influence a government decision about the Russia investigation.

But sources close to the investigation say Kushner is not yet a target of the investigation.

Meanwhile, George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about a meeting he had with a Russian professor who claimed he could give him "dirt" on Hillary Clinton.

The report, citing sources "briefed on Trump's thinking", said Trump confided in Stephen Bannon, that he no longer trusts Kushner.

In private moments, Mr. Trump, who is prone to venting, blows off steam about the investigation but then moves on, according to one of the advisers.

The US president is reported to be blaming his son-in-law for certain decisions that led to Robert Mueller being appointed to investigate claims of Russian collusion in the 2016 election campaign.

Beyond Vanity Fair's reporting, Trump has been portrayed as "seething" over the indictments of three associates, his former Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort, Manafort's deputy Rick Gates and an unpaid foreign policy adviser, George Papadopolous.

"Trump is at 33pc in Gallup".

"Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history", Sam Nunberg, a former Trump campaign operative, told Vanity Fair. You can't go any lower. The former advisor added, " I would say [Kushner] should go back to real estate in NY.

As it turns out, the couple aren't well liked in Washington D.C., according to a Vanity Fair report from August that illuminated the extent to which people in their adopted hometown and in the White House view them as a feared and vindictive duo who are essentially powerless but who clueless about that reality.
