Huawei Announces The Honor View 10 For India

The Honor 7x offers a similarly elongated, 18:9 aspect ratio display (5.93-inches with a 2160 x 1080 resolution), but otherwise sticks to a modest set of specs much like its predecessor, the Honor 6x. Honor is a sub-brand of the famous smartphone manufacturer Huawei.

Honor View 10 marks the beginning of a new AI era, enabling a productive, entertaining and fun lifestyle for users. It's created to go toe-to-toe with affordable flagships in the market such as the OnePlus 5T, and it's uncompromising.

These are just our first impressions with the Honor 7X, since we haven't used it for long, we are saving the rest of our thoughts for the full review, which will be out shortly.

The Honor V10 sports a bezel-less display and a metallic unibody.

It measures just 6.97mm thick, and the fingerprint sensor has been squeezed underneath the screen. It fits a bigger display into roughly the same footprint, effectively, as its worldwide predecessor, the Honor 8 Pro. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor which runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo along with EMUI 8.0. It has four ARM Cortex-A73 cores paired with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores, and a Mali-G72MP12, ARM's latest-generation GPU.

The mid-tier device is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB storage (expandable up to 256 GB), and features a dual-camera with 16 MP and 2 MP sensors.

The Honor View 10's camera setup introduces a few wildcards into the mix. The camera comes with features such as Phase detection autofocus, f/1.8 aperture and dual LED flash.

On the video side of the equation, the View 10 supports up to 4K video recording.

The same NPU also powers the camera, offering up a suite of shooting modes that automatically switch when an object comes into view. For the front camera, there is a 13MP sensor. While the Honor 7X is fueled by a 3,340mAh battery, the Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a 3,080mAh battery, whereas the Moto G5S Plus comes with a 3,000mAh one. But importantly, the Honor View 10's battery supports Huawei's Super Charge fast charging technology (22.5W), which means it's able to charge from 0 to 50 percent in half an hour. And the device boots dated Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.1 out of the box. It is all-metal and available in either black or blue.

Regarding the Honor View 10, the device is priced at 499 Euros globally, and there is no official price tag for the Indian market. It combines the best features of the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, but there are some omissions, too. On the other hand, it differentiates itself from the pricey Mate 10 Pro with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Stay tuned to NewsNation. In for live updates.
