Unreal Engine: The franchise will be running on the Unreal Engine, and will sport better 3D character models, visual effects, and stages rendered in Unreal Engine for better immersion. The latest installment of the series - Soul Calibur 5 - was released back in 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Since the game's announcement, Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed a few details about the setting of "Soulcalibur 6". After several years being dormant, Bandai Namco took the spotlight during the Game Awards 2017 to show off the return of their fantasy weapon-based fighting game, SoulCalibur VI! However, new gameplay systems have been added. Now Bandai Namco has released the first details on the game, letting everyone know what's in store.

The game will also feature a "diverse lineup of new and returning characters", all of whom have their unique fighting styles. Reversal Edge enables characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent's actions. While there were few specific details one could pull from this trailer, the little we've seen here looks attractive and full of the burning excitement we've come to expect from the Soul Calibur franchise.
