5-Year-Old Calls Police to Report the Grinch

A 5-year-old boy in MS was watching videos of the Grinch over the weekend and got concerned the Grinch might try to ruin HIS Christmas.

After watching a clip from the animated film adaptation of Dr Seuss' classic children's book, TyLon Pittman ran to the phone and dialled 911 multiple times, but he got cold feet and hung up after each attempt.

Byram Police Officer Lauren Develle went out of her way to let the tiny tyke know she wouldn't let anybody steal his Christmas. She went to TyLon's house to assure him that his Christmas was safe from harm.

After locking up the Grinch, Tylon wore his Byram PD hat proudly, with a strong sense of accomplishment. "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch trousers", Develle told the Clarion Ledger.

She said, "I kind of find it really amusing".

On Monday, police arrested the Grinch and brought TyLon to the station to confront identify him.

Nobody's going to steal Christmas from this boy! "If he gets your number, he's going to call you and blow you up".

The boy added: 'I want y'all to come back to my house and take him to jail'. Your bravery is unmatched. After serving his time in the holding cell, Tylon chose to let the Grinch go. Young TyLon was made an honorary junior officer for the day as well.

"When they call me and they say it's going so fast and they have a gun, I'm going to chase them so fast", Tylon said.

"I just want to tell you something", Pittman told a 911 operator in a recording of the call, according to local paper The Clarion-Ledger.
