In another incident involving members of a notorious family from Nabeh Saleh, IDF soldiers maintained their composure in the face of what appeared to be a staged confrontation.

Ahed hails from Nabi Saleh, a village in the occupied West Bank where weekly demonstrations against illegal settlement constructions, land and resources theft have been held since December 2009. During these years, this little village echoed the Palestinian struggle all over the world.

In August 2015, an IDF soldier was caught on film trying to arrest Ahed's 12-year-old Muhammad Tamimi, who had been throwing rocks during a violent protest. Her arrest is not so surprising to anyone familiar with the Tamimis. No explanation has been provided about the case.

Ahed was handcuffed and led by the soldiers outside to an Israeli army jeep.

"This is what Israeli soldiers have to go through", The Israel Project captioned the footage.

Her father claims the video was filmed immediately after Israeli forces fired tear-gas canisters at their home.

The doctors removed the bullet, reconstructed his jaw and placed him into an artificial coma for 72 hours.

The arrest happened early Tuesday morning, around 3am, when the army raided Tamimi's house, arresting her and seizing telephones, computers and electronic equipment, her father has said.

The military said an investigation had determined that an infantry company commander was one of the two soldiers shown being confronted in the video, and that he had "conducted himself professionally by not responding in kind".

Nafatali Bennet, Israel's education minister who is known for his hawkish views, told Army Radio on Tuesday that Ahed and the other women in the video should "finish their lives in prison".

The Tamimis say they choose to cultivate strength, not fear within their children - even if that means teenagers get pulled out of bed and taken away to unknown locations in the middle of the night by fully armed soldiers.

The sixteen-year-old is a member of a famous activist family from the village of Nabi Saleh, which holds nearly weekly protests against Israeli occupation. And they continue to pay the price for their refusal to accept the status quo, for their steadfast challenge to mechanisms of the occupation.

"The blood was pouring from his face like a fountain", the 43-year-old mother of four said on Sunday.

Manal's husband, Billal, said Nabi Saleh residents packed the hospital in solidarity with Mohammed's family during his surgery.
