Highs Monday will only reach a solid 5° with wind chills during the day well below 0.

Watch for areas of blowing & drifting snow from Belgrade to Three Forks and near Norris.

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for most of the state until Saturday night.

Areas impacted most will be: Butte, Georgetown Lake, Garrison to Avon, MacDonald Pass and Homestake Pass. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday. Two to five-inches of snow are expected with heaviest snowfall generally in the vicinity and south of Interstate-80.

According to the warning: A storm system will impact the area with accumulating snow into this evening.

Recent model runs are showing the potential for slightly higher snowfall totals than previous forecast models.

The weather impact will be for the northern and southern Clearwater mountains, and the Bitteroot/Sapphire mountains. Snow will linger through midnight Saturday morning. See you next year. Mostly cloudy skies to end off 207.
