Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won't join Arsenal unless demands met - Michael Zorc

Arsenal have been hot on the heels of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month, however, the Borussia Dortmund striker may have signalled that a deal to take him to the Emirates is off with his latest Instagram post.

Sporting director Michael Zorc told Dortmund's Twitter feed: "We have the impression at the moment that he [Aubameyang] has his head on other things and is not fully focused".

Aubameyang has been in fine form for Dortmund this season, with 13 goals scored and three assists in the Bundesliga.

The London based club's manager Arsene Wenger even confirmed Arsenal's interest in the former AC Milan player.

The Gunners have made two bids thus far but are still some way apart from Dortmund's valuation of the striker which is proving as the stumbling block in agreeing to a deal.

With Dortmund already planning for life with the France worldwide, the publication adds Arsenal are doing likewise regarding Aubameyang, suggesting Wenger plans to include the 28-year-old in his side when the Gunners travel to Swansea on 30 January - the day before the winter transfer window closes.

With only four days left of the transfer window, Wenger will have to move fast if he is to complete a deal for his number one target.

Alan Shearer has claimed he cannot understand why BVB forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to join Arsenal, amid links and claims the player could well join the Gunners during the January transfer window. "We have all rejected so far".

"I have a consistent dialogue with Giroud and he can only leave if someone else comes in", Wenger says. "To tell you if he will do it [sign], I don't know". "Arsenal had started several attempts that we have declined, so I can not say how it will end at the moment".

"I think Alexis Sanchez has got a bit more about him but he was only operating at 75 per cent after his little mood swing, so I couldn't be happier with the situation".
