Lucky for the little boy, off-duty firefighter Lt. Jeremy House was also dining in the restaurant.

'One of our own Lt.'s happen to be there off duty and assessed the situation, ' the department wrote on Facebook. Instead of paying to snatch it using the claw, Mason, who looked to be about 4 or 5, climbed up into the machine.

"We love a happy ending and are glad everything worked out", the Titusville Fire Department said on Facebook.

After the rescue, "mom, Mason and friends went back to eating dinner", the EMS Department stated.

Officials said the boy had climbed inside the machine in an attempt to procure a stuffed animal and found he was unable to climb back out.

Sutton says the boy was embarrassed, but wasn't in distress. He was taken out of the game in a few minutes, with minimal damage to the machine.

"I hope he got his toy", said a third.
