Church Member Goes Berserk, Stabs Pastor And Three Others During Service

Police say one man has died after he and three others were stabbed during a church service at a private home in Texas.

The Corpus Christi police are investigating a four-person stabbing which left two critically injured Wednesday night at the 1200 block of Cambridge Drive near Ray High School.

A 54-year-old man also was stabbed.

Police said the church members had been gathering at the pastor's home every day as part of a 40-day pledge.

A band member was then stabbed in the neck, and two other people were punctured in the hands and arms as they tried to tackle the suspect.

Lucio was booked into the Nueces County Jail on December 27, 2017 on charges of sexual assault of a child and aggravated sexual assault.

"The officers at the scene suspect there is a mental health issue with the offender", said Hooper, who noted that Moreno has an "alcohol- and drug-related history" with police. Police did not identify the church, but KRIS-TV reported that the address of the home matched up with Kingdom Acts Ministries International.

The pastor received multiple stab wounds to the chest.

CCPD says the investigation is ongoing and there exists the possibility of witnesses or other victims that have not yet come forward.
