Xiaomi debuts 4K Mi TV in India

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was one of the most popular smartphones in last two years.

At a media event held in New Delhi yesterday, Xiaomi launched three exciting new products for the Indian market. The 32 inch HDR smart TV will go on sale in May. The phone will be available from Flipkart and Mi.com starting from February 22. Or seek out a Mi Home store, if that is an option, in your area and try to reserve one.

Beautify is Xiaomi's image reinforcing software and the latest iteration is optimised for India specific users. It is a mid-budget phone that comes with 6GB RAM. It sports dual-rear camera, 12MP primary sensor with a f/2.2 aperture and a 1.25-micron pixel size, while the secondary sensor is of 5MP with a f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size.

The significant highlights of the latest Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro smartphones are the appearance of the large 5.99-inch 18:9 display, the selfie-light module, as well as the large 4000mAh battery. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that's coupled with 3GB of RAM. It is the world's first device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. Both these variants of Note 5 Pro also have different price tags. The rest of the four low-firing Kryo cores can deliver up to 1.6GHz. Xiaomi also has made a decision to release a slightly upgraded Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

While the two variants of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 are launched at Rs. 9999 and Rs. 11999, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 13999 and Rs. 16999 for the two variants, the best of all having 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Moving on to the variants, the company is offering a few color options to choose the right color for your device.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 carries a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The corners on the device also come with a slight curve to them, something which has not been seen on the earlier Redmi devices.

The dual-SIM Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, similar to the Redmi Note 5, operates MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. It offers rich quality photos within the front facing camera.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4 boasts dual-speaker (2 x 8 watts) setup with Dolby and DTS audio system. Both phones are equipped with a 12-megapixel main camera.

The Redmi 5 Plus boasts a 5.99-inch display while the Redmi 5 comes with a 5.7-inch display. "2017 was an incredible year for Xiaomi India and we will work endlessly to make 2018 just as exciting", he said.

The camera on the phone also appears to be identical to the predecessor, the only change is the addition of the front LED selfie light. On the front, there is a 5 MP camera with LED selfie light for low-light selfies.
