Isaac Haas out for remainder of NCAA Tournament with elbow fracture

Cal State Fullerton's Titans are getting ready to take on a behemoth when they take on No. 2 seed Purdue in the NCAA Tournament Friday.

Carsen Edwards and Vincent Edwards scored 15 points apiece, and second-seeded Purdue shook off a slow start to roll past No. 15 Cal State Fullerton 74-48 in the NCAA East Region.

Purdue was one of the nation's top teams all season long and it wasn't until the end of Big Ten play when the Boilermakers began to look tired and came back down to earth. But the program announced about an hour later that Haas had suffered a fractured right elbow, and would miss the rest of the postseason.

7-foot-2, 290 pounds to be exact. He shot 62 percent from the field during the regular season and Big Ten tournament. Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon have averaged 18 and 16.9 points, respectively, this season for the Razorbacks, who have won eight of their last 11 games. Matt Haarms, a 7-foot-3 freshman from the Netherlands, will be pushed into a larger role.

Three of their last five losses where decided by a single possession, a turn of events that may have led to a number one seed had those games gone the other way.
