Daniel Bryan Talks About His Long Journey Back To A WWE Ring

He had suffered 20 concussions over the course of his professional wrestling career and suffered from two different seizures due to a lesion in his brain.

Judging by the fact KO delivered a devastating powerbomb on to the apron to Bryan you would think that it has returned to a point where the past two years never even happened for Bryan.

He was informed that the lesion in his brain was a very vague complication and his decision to retire was premature.

"It is my medical opinion that there is no absolute contraindication to his return to in-ring action in WWE".

In an interview with Newsweek, neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Cantu said that when he examined Daniel Bryan, his brain showed no signs of injury. Each doctor cleared Bryan, and Dr. Joseph Maroon, WWE's medical director, gave the green light as well. Additionally, Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan is confirmed to be returning to the ring imminently. He brawled with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn before being taken out of the arena on a stretcher.

In the statement announcing Bryan's comeback, WWE said he "underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE".

Ultimately it didn't matter how many doctors cleared him, the only opinion he needed to change was the one of Vince McMahon and the doctors he places his faith in at WWE.

Edge discussed the issue with former tag team partner Christian on their podcast, E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness: "I greatly appreciate that people would like to see me have one more match or come back or 'Daniel Bryan got cleared so why can't you?'"

"Let's see what Mr. McGregor wants to do and then figure it out from there".
