Could the Patriots sign Johnny Manziel?

Rumored as one of the organization's who's been interested in the former Heisman Trophy victor, Bill Belichick's football dynasty is back at it as according to Kevin Guregian of the Boston Herald, the Pats met with free agent Johnny Manziel both before and after his work at Texas A&M's Pro Day on Tuesday.

Manziel's participation in last week's pro day at the University of San Diego was a surprise and was also rebuffed by some as the quarterback serving as nothing more than a camp arm.

Odell Beckham Jr. and Johnny Manziel are mentoring one of the biggest prospects in the NFL Draft on what NOT to do - so says Christian Kirk, who told us he's learning from both of his "Big Bros".

Manziel has become something of a reclamation project after flaming out with the Cleveland Browns, who drafted him 22nd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. This workout is the 2nd time that the Patriots have looked at Manziel this offseason. Manziel, still only 25 years old, could show enough to entice the Patriots to take a risk.

The Patriots could allow Manziel to join as a third quarterback behind Tom Brady and backup Brian Hoyer but they are only likely to have two on their 53-man roster come September. "One said he even looked better than he did in 2014". Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Manziel met with a "bunch of other teams". Liucci was a guest on SiriusXM radio show SEC This Morning on Wednesday and reported several National Football League teams are now considering Manziel. He bombed out because of an attitude problem that led to off-field distractions.

Manziel also threw at a Texas A&M pro day Tuesday. If Manziel proves he has grown up, he could get another chance in the NFL. "I don't want to make the same mistake twice".
