OnePlus 6 launch event today, here's how to watch it online

OnePlus 6 Fast AF Sale was also announced for early access to the phone. Is it enough of a jump for you?

If you're not one of the people who will be attending in person, however, you can still keep up with all the action from the show.

Now, about the OnePlus 6.

Unlike the metal unibody frames of the previous phones, the OnePlus 6 will sport an all-glass design. The size of the notch has been made minimal and is smaller than the one found on the iPhone X and bigger than the one found on the Essential Phone. They also apparently spent finding the right mix of glass to use in the phone, going through over 40 iterations before finding the one that has the ideal mix of usability, strength and looks. You all can watch the whole live stream on YouTube by following their official channel, or you can visit the official website of the company. The box - if you are into that sort of thing - is the same as before with the 5 being replaced by a 6. And while the OnePlus 6 has a premium-feeling all-glass body, there's no wireless charging to be had. While its design language is definitely indebted to the iPhone X (just like the OnePlus 5 was indebted to the iPhone 7), more so than it predecessor, the OnePlus 6 feels like its own device. It does help in this regard.

As you'd expect, the OnePlus 6 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 via the manufacturer's slick Oxygen OS interface.

OnePlus is a global mobile technology company challenging conventional concepts of technology.

Though the exact dimensions are unknown, thanks to the notch, OnePlus says its smartphone will have the biggest display - possibly a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel - on a flagship yet. The OnePlus 5T only had 34. That'll be important going forward, more so than it is now. The phone packs a Snapdragon 636 chip, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, and support for microSD cards. Worth noting is that Dash Charge's fast charging speeds apply even when you are using your phone, while on many other phones fast charging only works when you are not actively using your phone. This might not sound like a drastic difference, but when you factor in the phone's increased thickness and weight you're looking at a smartphone that isn't as pocketable as last year's model.

OnePlus 6 now supports Optical Image Stabilisation for better low-light photography.

The OnePlus and the OnePlus 5T were an astonishing set of devices of a year ago, from the hype-mongering Chinese manufacturer. Further, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 3300mAh battery are also expected in the OnePlus 6. The rear side will feature a dual camera comprising 20MP and 16MP sensors.

OnePlus is also touting a special pause/play feature. Clearly the demand for wireless charging hasn't been greater than the expense of including such a feature.

If we talk about the OnePlus 6 price in India, it is expected to start at Rs. 36,999 for the 64GB storage variant while the 128GB storage variant is said to cost Rs. 39,999. There is also a 256GB storage version this time. You'll be overjoyed by the technical data and targeted price. They're using Qualcomm's most powerful processor, added two improved cameras to the back, and yes, there's a notch in the screen.

What's even better than the OnePlus 6? Plus, the white color option will go down well with a lot of users.
