Melania Trump ‘hates’ separating migrant kids from parents

According to the Department of Homeland Security, over a six-week period this spring, almost 2,000 kids were taken from their migrant parents at the border, as a result of Trump's "zero-tolerance" policy of separating children from their parents as they attempt to enter the US.
One would limit, but not entirely prohibit, family separations, fund Trump's wall and give legal protections to young immigrants, known as "Dreamers", who were brought to the country illegally as children.
The separations have triggered a nationwide outcry from Republicans and Democrats who say it is inhumane.
"Why we would even think that this is a tool that is needed to defend our borders is insane", Republican Representative Will Hurd, who represents a Texas district along the border, told National Public Radio.
