Moves the Lakers Need to Make to Compete With the Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers were believed to be the favorite to land James and that is what ultimately happened as he signed a four-year deal with the franchise.

Ball told TMZ Sports he's not anxious about the defending champion Warriors getting even stronger with the addition of free agent center DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins. L.A. may not be able to contend with the Golden State Warriors this season, but James is there for four years and is not looking at year one as the only chance the team has to win a title.

While the roster was pretty much depleted with James, theres only one remaining player of interest for the Bulls: Kevin Love.

The team the Spurs have been in the most contact with is the Los Angeles Lakers, but nothing has progressed since the signing of LeBron turns out the Spurs want A LOT in return. This is especially true considering that James agreed to a multi-year deal, which is something he was not willing to do with Dan Gilbert and the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, late Sunday night, James' decision was announced and he will be a member of the Lakers. "How's LeBron going to play point?"

"Philadelphia will be a good team because you can take the risk, they'll still be good and you've got to make sure that you can force him to come back". Just a couple minutes later the official National Basketball Association store, operated by Fanatics, a sportswear retailer, was preselling LeBron James blanks (meaning the number was listed as "00", but wouldn't be produced until the official number was confirmed).

According to The Athletic's Jason Lloyd, James knows the Lakers don't have a shot at competing for a championship this year and wants to be patient and help the team grow. Evans is coming off a resurgent season in which he averaged 19.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds over 52 regular season games.
