Game of Thrones season 8: Is this the end of King's Landing?

While plot details for the last ever instalment of the HBO hit are being kept under wraps, Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams has given fans a hint at what could be in store for her character.

On July 7, the British actress - who plays Aria Stark on the Emmy-winning show, which was primarily shot in Northern Ireland - shared a snapshot of herself wearing white sneakers splattered with blood.

Now, it's unlikely that Williams, 21, would leak a major "Game of Thrones" spoiler like that - or that HBO would let her reveal who ends up on the Iron Throne. Does this simply mean she had to walk through a veritable bloodbath on her last day of shooting and didn't want to mess up her "work shoes"?

"Goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy i've had", Williams' caption said.

Our attention goes to the hashtag #lastwomanstanding, come on seriously Maisee?!

While many of Maisie's followers were busy analysing the image, others took to the comment section to congratulate her on a job well done.

Either way, it definitely seems she's teasing a bloody final season for her character, which should get lots of fans excited.

Probably not. Right now, we can just assume that there is a lot of bloodshed at the hands of assassin Arya in "Game of Thrones" season eight. Who knows? Until then, feel free to decipher her post for Easter eggs (or should I say dragon eggs?) and cultivate your own theories about the forthcoming season.
