Furthermore, my visual impression of that chunky notch was confirmed, as he wrote "the notch is really BIG, probably the biggest I've seen in any phone".

Over the weekend, XDA Developers Forum user claimed to have gotten their hands on a Google Pixel 3 XL, the larger of the two flagship handsets from the company that are slated to arrive later this year. Reference to the Pixel Stand has been found deep in the code for a new version of the Google app, so as rumors go, this one is fairly plausible. However, Google is also known to unveil several accessories for the Pixel devices alongside and we could be looking at a very important one for this year. We had a hint at these designs back in May when some tempered glass screen protectors for the Pixel 3 and 3XL were leaked.

Google has previously released its Pixel hardware around October, so we'll likely see some more leaks of the upcoming handsets and their hardware specs before then. Several leaks on the internet have already given us a fair idea of how the Pixel 3 could look like.

The Pixel Stand will be able to handle commands, just like Google Home, even when the phone is charging or the display is not on. It's not the first time we learn about Google's plan, but it puts the unannounced charging dock one step closer to reality. In 2017, Google opted to make the Pixel XL 2 in only two colour options: all black or a black/white mix.

Of note is that apparently the back features a single piece of glass, but the top part is glossy, while the rest is matte.
