Style Controllers Announced for Nintendo Switch

Fans have been waiting for Nintendo Switch Online since the system was first released. In addition to the $3.99 per month plan, Nintendo will offer a discounted three-month membership for $7.99, and an annual plan that runs $19.99. "To ensure that cloud backups can not be used to unfairly affect online multiplayer classifications, the feature will not be enabled in Splatoon 2", explained Nintendo. Thankfully, you won't have to pay the yearly or monthly subscription just yet in order to enjoy all of the service's offerings.

Nintendo Switch Online is essentially a service that will give subscribers access to Nintendo's library of classic games in the NES game console.

As previously mentioned, we are expecting to learn more about Super Smash Bros. Nintendo also revealed a wireless NES controller that acts as a solo Joy-Con which players can pick up separately if these classic games get them feeling truly nostalgic.

The Nintendo Switch Online Service will be officially launching next week on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Online functionality for games like Splatoon 2 have been totally free since the system's release but that will change next week. Online services are now free, but the company announced a while back that it would be switching to a paid subscription model. However, in certain games, this feature would make it possible to, for example, regain items that had been traded to other players, or revert to a higher online multiplayer ranking that had been lost.
