Captain Marvel Trailer Reaction: When Can I Buy Tickets?

It was two weeks ago that fans were treated to their first official look at Brie Larson's Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in all her cosmic glory. It shows the titular superhero literally crashing into a 1990s' Blockbuster before Samuel L. Jackson's voiceover sets the scene.

Arriving more than two years after Marvel Studios announced the casting of Larson as Captain Marvel, the almost two-minute teaser sends Carol (literally) crashing back to Earth, and into the path of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, just as the planet is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between two alien races.

At the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that Fury in Captain Marvel is not the same man who corrals the Avengers all those years later. It sets him on that path that leads us to where we are 19 films later'.

Marvel Studios has so far made more than $17.5 billion globally over the past decade and across 20 films. We also know from reports that the other race will be the shape-shifting Skrulls led by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos.

Sherlock Holmes and Fantastic Beasts actor Jude Law will play Mar-Vell, Danvers's mentor and Starforce commander.

After she crash-lands on Earth, we get a shot of Carol sporting a leather jacket and an old school S.H.I.E.L.D. cap. That means when confronted they can pull out jagged teeth, insane tentacles, and more, and Chewie's done all of that and more to defend Captain Marvel. We saw her kicking ass as a fighter pilot in the Air Force. And of course Marvel was gonna give us a good preview of what we can expect when Danvers suits up and Captain Marvel takes over. I love Marvel so much.
