Thirty people have been injured after the floor collapsed during a party in an apartment clubhouse in SC.

A large portion of a floor on the first level caved in as people were dancing, causing dozens to fall through to the basement.

Woodlands Property Management President Tal Slann told CNN that people fell through the floor into the basement.

Raven Guerra, a 20-year-old who was at the party, told GMA: 'By the time I had put one foot out the door, I felt that something was weird and that's when everyone just collapsed and the guy behind me disappeared. I stood up, and everyone was trying to climb out.

No individuals were trapped during the collapse and it's unclear if anyone suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

'Everyone was on the floor and people were screaming and there was wood sticking up from the floorboards'. People were under other people. "Then I wake up, because I blacked out, and there [were] girls everywhere with blood all over their face", Leroy Pearson told CBS affiliate WSPA-TV.

He said thirty people were transported to three area hospitals. "I can tell you there was a party".

According to police said a call was received about 12. He warned his friends and suggested a retreat to the balcony but the floor collapsed before they could make it.

Slann sent residents of The Woodlands an email saying the floor in front of the clubhouse fireplace had collapsed during a party.
