Apple's October 30 event saw the launch of the new MacBook Air, which hasn't seen a refresh in design since 2010.

New Apple MacBook Air specifications The new MacBook Air features a 13.3-inch Retina display with macOS Mojave operating system. The sensor is embedded in the keyboard and comes paired with Apple's T2 security chip.

While we were perusing Apple's new MacBook Air choices on its website, we also clicked around to see if any other products had disappeared or were upgraded.

It's a hefty price for the device, especially since you can get current MacBook Airs on Amazon for around £800-£900, and the super-slim MacBook is only £100 more than these new Airs. It is priced at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 88,200), and goes up for pre-orders in the United States today, with availability from November 7. "It's time for a new MacBook Air-one that takes the MacBook Air experience even further in the areas that are most important to our customers". The bad news is that the new MacBook Air adopts the new butterfly key mechanism that seems to have a love/hate reputation among the Apple enthusiast community.

Constructed out of 100 per cent recycled aluminium, the unibody has 17 per cent less volume than the old Air and is but 15.6mm thin and weighs a mere 1.2kg, despite having things like stereo speakers with boosted audio, according to Apple.

The new MacBook Air (2018) comes with a Retina display, with the display glass going right to the edge of the enclosure, with the aluminium frame of the past version of the MacBook Air totally removed.

The revived Air also has a 13.3-inch display, but with higher Retina-grade density. The display's resolution has been quadrupled, now containing over four million pixels with 48 percent more color, with the FaceTime camera still at the top of the laptop.

So here's the New MacBook Air, a completely redesigned, reengineered, and carefully refined upgrade over the predecessor. There's also a large and much-improved Force Touch trackpad.

The new MacBook Air comes in space gray, silver, and a new gold that's still kind of roses. You can expect the same great battery life as the old MacBook Air, which is about 12-hours of runtime between charges. We were hoping this latest rendition would feature full fat Intel Core processors that go up to quad-core, instead what we got was a machine that only features dual-core Intel Core Y-series CPUs. "Unlike any notebook that's come before or since, MacBook Air has become the most beloved notebook ever".
