Jurgen Klopp Handed Punishment Over Derby Pitch Invasion

Jurgen Klopp received a $10,000 fine for running onto the field to celebrate Divock Origi's late victor against Everton.

Footage has surfaced since the weekend of Klopp celebrating manically, and racing around the perimeter of the pitch, when in charge of his first club Mainz. "I talk for my side but of course you have to be respectful for the other ones".

Manager Jurgen Klopp's gamble of making seven changes, including leaving out his big guns up front, was ultimately justified but for more than an hour it looked like backfiring. "When you lose, people say it is disrespectful".

However, in the fallout from the game, the Football Association have charged Klopp with "misconduct" for his zealous celebration.

After the game, the German said he had apologised to his Everton counterpart Marco Silva - something Silva claimed had not been the case.

But just when it seemed they were getting into their stride Liverpool were hit with the sucker punch.
