New Muslim Congresswoman Vows to 'Impeach the Motherf**ker!'

Tlaib, the daughter of Palestinians who immigrated to the United States before she was born, was elected as representative for Michigan's 13th district in November's midterm elections which has brought the most diverse group of first-time politicians to the House in U.S. history.

Ms Tlaib, a Detroit native whose family hails from a small Palestinian village in the West Bank, was sworn into the 116th Congress using Thomas Jefferson's copy of the Quran, translated into English in 1734.

But Tlaib's enthusiastic will likely rankle conservatives because of her use of profanity.

Rashida Tlaib spoke exclusively to Local 4 after hurling an expletive at President Donald Trump. "Because this is about electing the jury to impeach (POTUS) and I will make a heck of juror", she wrote on Twitter in March.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders blasted the remarks as proof Democrats had "no solutions for America" and suggested Tlaib was simply trying to boost her own political career. "Donald Trump's actions have harmed the 13th Congressional District and she will not stay silent while this happens".

A handful of Democratic lawmakers have called for the president's impeachment, and though the party's leaders have been wary of the idea, they aren't discounting it.

Ms Omar arrived to Congress accompanied by her father and wearing a Hijab.

Tlaib's comments were also soon met with outrage from the right.

Sherman and Green pushed to impeach Trump in 2017 and 2018 but the House blocked those resolutions twice, with the help of Democrats who said the effort was premature.

"People love you and you win", the video showed Tlaib telling supporters.

The US president responded in a tweet on Friday morning, saying: "How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong. and is the most popular Republican in party history?"

"I think President Trump has met his match", she said. "Their biggest hope is that they want us to succeed, but they also don't want us to lose a part of who we are".

"The Democrats see the Mueller operation as a vehicle for the impeachment of President [Trump], and I guarantee you that the Mueller operation sees itself as a vehicle for the impeachment of President Trump, too", Tom Fitton, president of the government watchdog Judicial Watch wrote on Twitter.

New representatives are traditionally sworn-in over a Bible, but it is only a custom and no specific book is called for by law.
