National Football League releases 2019 worldwide schedule, no Steelers in sight

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are scheduled to play in Mexico.

There will also be a NFC South divisional match-up between the Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Oakland Raiders will return to London for the second straight year, facing the NFC North division champion Chicago Bears.

The dates and venues will be announced at a later date, but two games will be played at Wembley Stadium and the other two are set to be held at Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium.

A team like the Chargers, who will host the Packers in a tiny soccer stadium next season, weren't willing to give up a home game against the Packers for an global game.

The NFL released the global schedule for next season on Monday. A game between Oakland and Seattle was to have been at Tottenham last October 14 but was moved to Wembley.

In November, the National Football League moved the Chiefs' game against the Rams from Mexico City to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum because of poor field conditions at Estadio Azteca.

The NFL has played annually in London since 2007 - 21 games at Wembley, three at Twickenham.

Today, however, the National Football League released its official lineup of global games, and while the Chargers are indeed the home squad in Mexico City, the Steelers are not their opponent.
