Egypt condemns terror attack on policemen bus in Indian Kashmir

While an India-Pakistan match always gives fans that extra adrenaline rush, we have to wait and find out if it will be a reality during WC 2019.

A Major and three soldiers besides a civilian were also killed in the fighting which erupted overnight Sunday barely 10 km from the spot where the suicide bombing took place on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Four Indian soldiers and two suspected militants were killed Monday in a fierce gun battle as Indian security forces hunted for the organizers of a deadly suicide bombing that killed 40 paramilitary personnel in Indian Kashmir and escalated tensions between India and Pakistan.

At least four Indian soldiers were killed today in a gunfight as further violence broke out when troops carried out searches in the Pulwama district where the bomber struck. News Nation covers breaking news, latest news, entertainment news, bollywood news, business news and sports news.

The retired commander, Lt. Gen. D.S. Hooda, told The Associated Press on Saturday that while "some kind of limited (military) strike (against Pakistan) is more than likely", he hopes for "rethinking and reconciliation" from all sides in the conflict. "He left New Delhi this morning".

In the wake of the dastardly Pulwama terror attack, Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla has said that India will not play against Pakistan in any bilateral series unless the country stops its state "sponsored terrorism".

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has promised a strong response to the attack, called for global action against terrorism on Monday during a press appearance with visiting Argentine President Mauricio Macri.

According to the Times' piece, China had reason to cautiously handle the issue as "observers worry that blacklisting Azhar could be used by India to increase its military pressure on Pakistan, thus risking exacerbating tensions between the two countries".

Archrivals India and Pakistan each administer part of Kashmir, but both claim the region in its entirety. Pakistan has denied all involvement. "We have full faith in their bravery and valour", Modi said on Thursday.

"Pakistan rejected allegations regarding Pulwama Attack because these were consistent with well-rehearsed tactics from Indian playbook after such previous incidents".

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the suicide attack in mainland India, there have been multiple "revenge attacks" by right-wing mobs on Kashmiris who have been "threatened to leave or face consequences".

In recent years, mainly young Kashmiris have displayed solidarity with the rebels and sought to protect them by engaging troops in street clashes during India's counterinsurgency operations despite repeated warnings from the Indian authorities.
