Kodak Black faces backlash over comments about Nipsey Hussle's girlfriend

The suspect in the shooting was identified as 29-year-old Eric Holder, who knew Hussle and had some kind of personal dispute in the hours before the rapper was killed, according to LAPD.

Kodak Black is right now facing heavy backlash for his comments on London just a week after Nipsey Hussle's death.

A public memorial service for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle is tentatively set for Thursday at Los Angeles' Staples Center, a source familiar with the plans said Saturday. Holder's bond is now $5 million.

He was represented by his defense attorney Chris Darden, a member of the prosecution team at O.J. Simpson's 1995 murder trial. Darden entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Kodak Black has issued an apology to Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle for his disrespectful and distasteful comments. "There's a lot of people who said they wanted to get together and come to a vigil and pay respect because Nipsey was the first real LA artist that was from LA". While both men had gang affiliations, the motive for the shooting does not appear to be gang-related.

Though Hussle didn't have ties to Winnipeg, Hermon Gidey, one of the organizers of the vigil, says he touched the lives of many Eritrean youth.
