Stephen A. Smith: Klay Thompson Isn't Happy, Tired Of Getting

Durant and Irving have been rumored as a potential tandem to join the Knicks, but even that would not make NY the clear-cut favorite, Sherman said. It seems every game Golden State loses results in a litany of headlines claiming each star player wants off the team because they're unhappy in their respective role.

However, it looks like Durant could have an even bigger reason to join the Knicks in the summer, as he could have his very own show on the MSG Network, as reported by Bleacher Report.

The fan would make more appearances later in the third quarter.

Despite massive performances from Durant and Curry through the first three quarters, the Warriors' supporting cast struggled mightily.

After all, Durant carried the load for the Oklahoma City Thunder for the majority of his career, with his efforts - including a league MVP award - not materializing into championships.

Smith made clear that he hadn't been told this by Thompson directly, however his sources say that Thompson feels like his number doesn't get called almost enough, suggesting that he's exhausted of not being prioritized more in their high-powered offense. Despite their struggles, the Warriors were still at 84 points heading into the fourth quarter, a hefty total.

The New York Knicks look exactly the same today as they did when they ended a terrible 2018-19 season, but if the offseason goes their way, Vegas oddsmakers really like their chances to compete in 2019-2020. To get a win, Durant - averaging a team-high 35.4 points in the postseason - will need vast improvements from his teammates. However, the Knicks do offer an interesting destination.

The Warriors are already projected to be well over the salary cap heading into the offseason. "If they try to do anything less than that, you can expect Klay Thompson to be out in free agency".

Sherman mentioned that if the Knicks did land both Durant and Irving that they still would not be the favorites but he "could see them at 12/1".
