What to know about Harry, Meghan's choice of Archie Harrison Mountbatten

Britain's Prince Harry received an Invictus Games romper suit for his newborn son Archie on Thursday as he marked one year until The Hague hosts the sports championship for wounded soldiers.

Harry had originally planned to visit the country on Wednesday for two days, but shortened it to a day-trip last week, fueling fevered speculation about the baby's birth.

Baby Archie attended his first photocall on Wednesday as proud parents Meghan and Harry showed him off to the world in front of cameras inside St George's Hall at Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child into the world at 05:26 on 6 May 2019. See the adorable snaps here.

On that same day, they took Archie Harrison to meet his great-grandparents Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.

Pals of Meghan Markle claim Archie Windsor's name was picked in reference to her pet cat, and a U.S. comic she used to collect.

Now 7-weeks-old, Archie will be looking for a royal household of his own in the near future.

"A royal baby is always a huge cause for celebration and having photographed Prince Harry for many years I'm excited to be documenting a new chapter of his life". "It's been a special couple of days", Meghan continued.

Archie would have been given the title The Earl of Dumbarton, or Lord Dumbarton, as the eldest son of Prince Harry had Harry and Meghan consented.

"We're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy", Harry added. Harry was likely just sharing information he'd heard from others, as he probably couldn't quite tell if baby Archie looked like either himself or Meghan.

The newborn baby boy is the eighth great-grandchild of the 93-year-old queen.

Harry said, when announcing the birth, that the baby's late arrival had given them longer to decide on a name.

Archie's middle name Harrison actually means Henry's son, so it's totally fitting.

And while we totally understand that some royal fans misheard Harry and believe he said his kiddo has changed a lot in just two weeks time, we really don't think that's the case.
