Apple Is Planning On Ditching iTunes In Favor Of New Apps

After macOS Mojave, Apple will definitely be announcing the new version of macOS at the event too.

The new Music app will offer some of the same functionalities, including purchasing songs and syncing phones, according to early reports. From a Bloomberg report, iOS 13 is codenamed "Yukon" and it's going to revamp the majority of its default apps including its keyboard, Health, Reminders, Apple Books, iMessage, Mail, etc. iOS' default keyboard could get a swipe typing function where users can simply swipe across the keyboard's letters to type. The update will also unify the Find My Friends and Find My iPhone features.

Complicating the fact that it has to do all those tasks is the reality that iTunes often feels slow and clunky, so perhaps we're overdue for a change.

An interesting feature that's available on third-party apps like Duet Display will allow users to use an iPad as a secondary Mac screen. Its death symbolizes the end of an era, one that it helped jumpstart back when file sharing and.mp3s were sending the recording industry into a panic. In a section called "Principles and Practices", Apple defended its practices, saying developers decide what they want to charge from a set of price tiers. Much of what we know about iOS 13 comes from a recent Bloomberg report, as well as a handful of leaks shared by 9to5Mac in recent weeks. The iOS 13 version is a great contrast to the bright and clean design Apple now adopts.

Rumors indicate the dark mode will work either from a dedicated toggle in iPhone/iPad settings or from the Control Center. Here are top features expected from the next big software update for Apple's iPhones and iPads.

It seems that Apple is looking for a way to slim down iTunes from what has become a very bloated application. The company plans to break music, television, and podcasts into distinct apps once and for all, phasing out iTunes, as has been rumored for years. The Cupertino-based tech giant would also make new announcements for macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. We expect to get more details surrounding the change at WWDC 2019 which is scheduled to kick off on 3rd June 2019.
