How Philippe Coutinho could help Liverpool sign Kylian Mbappe

Any return to the Nou Camp has many variables to it, but according to L'Equipe the transfer will happen after Neymar Sr. met a Barcelona representative in Sao Paulo last Saturday. Neymar was signed by Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017 for a mammoth 222m which holds the record for the highest transfer fee ever paid.

"Neymar: The big lie", stated their front cover.

The IG post also claimed that Griezmann had agreed personal terms with Barcelona and was completely happy with them.

"PSG want Coutinho and have been weighing up [a move] for a while", sources at the Catalan club told ESPN FC. They would accept €200 million plus Coutinho, although Barca may have to look to include a second player in the deal to further reduce the price, with €120m set to go on Griezmann and €75m already spent on bringing in midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.

LaLiga president Tebas, however, pulled no punches in his analysis of Neymar's possible return to Spain recently, claiming that the former Santos star's behaviour in recent times does not align with the league's. He helped the hosts beat Argentina on Tuesday to reach the final.

He formed one third of the famous MSN attacking trio and both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez would like to see Neymar rejoin the club.

Tebas also questioned Neymar's behaviour on Sunday, saying he did not want Barca to sign the superstar forward again.

That could be bad news for the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitić and Ousmane Dembélé, all of whom have been linked with moves away this summer.

Sport believe that the only way Barcelona could pull off a deal for Neymar would be in a cash plus player deal which is where Coutinho comes into the fold.
